Age Ranges & League

La Crescent Youth Ball offers Baseball and Softball opportunities starting at the 8U age (minimum age to play is 7) and up through the 14U age range. Number of teams are dependent on registration numbers.

Our teams play within the Seven Rivers Athletic Association. Please see the link below regarding information about the Seven Rivers Athletic Association.

Volunteer Hours

Volunteers are what keep our fields maintained and our tournaments running smoothly and successfully. Each family is required to contribute at least 4 hours of volunteer time each season in order to have their $150 volunteer fee (paid upon registration) refunded. Volunteer hours are NOT prorated.

Here are a few important things to note:

  • While we encourage families to volunteer together as a learning opportunity, minors do NOT count toward your 4-hour requirement. The 4 hours should be accounted for by parents/guardians/adults.
  • All minors helping in concessions must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Anyone under the age of 14 helping in our concessions area should NOT handle any money!
  • If you sign up for a field maintenance slot (dragging/chalking) during our tournaments, there will not be training available for these tasks so PLEASE only sign up for those timeslots if you know how to do them.
  • Lastly, when signing up for volunteer time slots – Please pay close attention to the day, time, and the actual field location assigned to each sign-up opportunity. There are signup slots for many fields around town during the tournaments, so it is important you are present where you are signed up for.
